Pocket Silhouettes Gift Set

Before settling down to writing some lesson plans for after the holidays, I wanted to show you another gift set that I made for a few people I know. The cards are an odd size so there aren't any envelopes for them. I think these would be used best by just adding them to a gift as a tag or something like that.

This is what I used to make this adorable gift.
STAMPS: Pocket Silhouettes and Cute and Curly
PAPER: Kraft, Baja Breeze, and Basic Gray
INK: Whisper White Craft and Versa Mark
ACCESSORIES: Sticky Strip for the box, Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon, coordinating punch for the Cute and Curly stamp set, and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the Pocket Silhouettes image in Versa Mark first (you can't see it too well in these photos), then in craft ink. Before the ink dried, I sprinkled with the glitter and...voila...it was done!
I have to tell you that I got this idea from someone else, so it isn't totally my own. I did add the Merry Christmas card to the set, as the original only had 3 cards.
I plan on giving these to the school secretaries where I work. Just a little something for the holidays to let them know that I appreciate all they do for me.
Again, if you want specific card sizes and box measurements, feel free to e-mail me and I will send them to you as soon as humanly possible.
See ya!

Gift Set

Well, I just finished cleaning my stamping room and decided I still have time to add a post.

This is a gift set I made at a recent workshop. I really love this stamp set and the cards I've made. I put together four gift sets for different friends this Christmas. The original set had only four cards, but I thought that wasn't enough so I made two cards in each design. I'm not posting dimensions, etc. but if you want them, feel free to e-mail me, and I'll get them to you as soon as possible.

This is what I used to make this project.

STAMPS: Upsy Daisey

PAPER: Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, and Urban Garden DSP

INK: Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, and Basic Gray

ACCESSORIES: Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon and Silver Brads.

I hope you like it as much as I do.
Well, it is time for bed. Only three more days until Winter Break!

Scandinavian Christmas

Sorry it has been so long since my last post, but with Thanksgiving almost two weeks ago and getting ready for Christmas, things have been a little crazy here. I am really looking forward to Christmas break from work. Two glorious weeks...oh what shall I do with myself? :)

Here's a pretty little card I made a few days ago. Believe it or not, I used silver embossing powder, but it looks like gold. It was definitely the lighting in the room when I took the picture.

Here's what I used to make the card.

STAMP SETS: Scandinavian Season and Many Merry Messages
CARD STOCK: Not Quite Navy & Very Vanilla
INK: Versa Mark
ACCESSORIES: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Oval Punches, Stampin' Dimensionals, Rhinestone Brads, Silver Embossing Powder

I hope you like it! I'll try not to take so long to post again. See ya!

Save the Date

Here's a photo of the Save the Date card I designed for my daughter's upcoming June 20th Wedding. As an aside, my mother and father were married over 50 years ago on that same date. Of the five grandchildren my parents have, my daughter is the only granddaughter. Unfortunately, my father won't be at the wedding. He passed away in 2004. But he will be there in spirit, I know this for sure. Anyway, I made 140 of these little buggers. I had a lot of help from my friends Amy, Susan, Tracy, and Nikki and my daughter Jennifer and one of her bridesmaids, Rita. They said they'll help with the Wedding Invitations too, but only if I feed them pizza! (That's an inside joke.)

Paper: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, & Very Vanilla Card Stock

Ink: Perfect Plum

Stamp Sets: Please Come and She's All That

Accessories: Stampin Dimensionals, Oval and Ticket Punch, and Ivory Taffeta Ribbon I purchased from Michael's Crafts Bridal Department.

More Christmas

Hi again,

Here are two more of those Christmas Cards I was working on for my daughter. I hope you like them. I would have posted them with the last post from today, but Jennifer, my daughter, stopped by in the middle of the process and I had to quit operation. After the holidays, I will post the Save the Date, Wedding Invitation, and Wedding Favor I am making for her June 20th wedding.

Stamp Set: Season of Joy
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, and Kraft Card Stock, Ski Slope Designer Series Paper
Ink: Baja Breeze
Accessories: 1" Baja Breeze Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

Stamp Set: Scandinavian Season, Season of Joy
Paper: Tangerine Tango and Kraft Card Stock, Frosty Day Designer Series Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Tangerine Tango Striped Ribbon, Dimensionals

Christmas Poinsettas

Here's one of the Christmas Cards I've been working on for my daughter. She asked me to make ten of them for her this year. I used Stampin Up!'s Season of Joy stamp set with Purely Pomegranate, Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, and Pretty in Pink card stock. The ribbon is also Pretty in Pink and the ink is Purely Pomegranate. Hope you like it. Oh, I almost forgot...there was a similar card on Split Coast. I made a few modifications and this is what I came up with.

First Post

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post and I'm not sure I really know what I am doing, so please bear with me. I've been stamping for a little over a year and a half now and I can't get enough of it. Sometimes I wish I could quit my real job and do this full time. But, that isn't possible. When my friend Amy from work invited me to a Stampin'Up party in February of 2007 I told her right off the bat, "I'm not interested in stamping." Needless to say, after that first party I was hooked. She has created a monster in spreading the stamping addiction to me! But hey, it could be worse. When my husband complains that he never sees me anymore because I'm always in my office stamping, friends tell him it is better than me being out nights at bars! :) Anyway, enough rambling...as soon as I figure out how to download some pics of cards I've made, I'll do it. Until then....

Keep on stamping!
