Sweet Shoppe Birthday

My baby boy turned 25 today!  Where has the time gone?  As we sit here waiting for my husband to get home from work so we can go out and celebrate Chris's birthday, I thought I'd post the card I made for him.  It's simple, but cute.  I used the Sweet Shoppe designer series paper in the Occasions Mini on page 33 along with Create a Cupcake stamp set that is in the big Idea Book and Catalog.

If you are wondering where to score a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 card stock to make a card that opens in the middle like this, you would score it at 2 3/4" from both ends.

As I mentioned, this was going to be a quick post.  Hope you like the card.  Until next time...

Happy Stamping~

Happy Easter Everybunny!

I finally had the opportunity to sit down and stamp yesterday.  The week has been pretty busy.  I saw the movie Hunger Games on Monday with a group of friends from work and I thought it was awesome.  Now, I've spoken to a few people that didn't like it, but they also said they didn't read the book so I am wondering if that is what made the difference for me?  The movie, as usual, leaves a few things out, otherwise the movie is very true to the book.  I loved it and I can't wait for the next one to come out next November of 2013.

I also spent part of the week catching up on some long overdue housekeeping.  I cleaned out and re-organized a storage closet in the basement and took a load of "stuff" to Goodwill on Tuesday. And yesterday morning I worked on cleaning up the garage and my car which were both in sore need of some attention.  There is still plenty that needs to be taken care of, but I decided it was time for me to have some fun in my stamp room.

The first card I am sharing was made using the Everybunny stamp set currently found in Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book and Catalog.  I paired it with some Lucky Limeade  and Wisteria Wonder card stock and Sweet Shop designer series paper that is in the Occasions Mini.

This second Easter card was super easy to make.  I used one of the Baja Breeze Every Day Elegance Simply Sent cards that is available through Sale-a-bration. (Sale-a-bration expires on Saturday, so if there is anything you've been wanting, now is the time to place your order!)  I made the flower using  flowers from the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit. You can't get any easier than that.  The sentiment comes from the Everybunny set that I used in the first card.

So there...you got two cards for the price of one today.  I love it when I have time to spend in my stamp room!  Hope you enjoyed your visit and thank you for stopping by.  As always...

Happy Stamping!

Happy Spring!

I can't believe spring break is here for me, and I a already have way through my things to do list.  I purposely front-loaded this week so I can spend the rest of the week relaxing and stamping!  I am looking forward to it.  This afternoon I am taking some time to meet a group of friends to see The Hunger Games movie.  I read all three of the books in the series about a year ago and have been anticipating the movie ever since I first learned one was being made.

Well, enough rambling...now on to the card I want to share with you today.  For this card I used the Tea Shoppe and Loving Thoughts stamp sets found in the current Occasions Mini Catalog.  The Tea Shoppe set is absolutely beautiful.  The dsp is from the Twitterpated series along with basic gray for the base, blushing bride for the punched border, and whisper white for the doily.  The tea cup is stamped in baja breeze on whisper white.  I added a little of dazzling diamonds glitter to the tea cup.  I just love the way this turned out!   If I remember correctly, I saw one similar to this on SplitCoast, but I can't remember  who exactly it is partially cased from.  Sorry about that.

It's time for me to get ready for the movie, so until next time...

Happy Stamping~

Birthday

I know it has been way too long since I last posted and I really do apologize.  I didnt' realize so much time had passed.  It has been almost 2 months!  Where does time go?

The basic design of this card was created by a friend of mine.  I just made a few minor changes; mainly I turned it into a birthday card.  It is one that we will be making at an upcoming All-Occasions Card class I will be holding.  I used the Sweet Shop designer series paper in the current Occasions Mini Catalog.  I just love this shade of purple.  I would have never thought to put purple and green together.  I also used the Create a Cup Cake stamp set and punch in the big Idea Book and Catalog along with the coordinating punch. The colors of paper an ink I used are Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White.

Hope you like it!  I'll try not to be so long next time.  Until then...

Happy Stamping!
